Course Descriptions

This program prepares students to perform diagnostic testing on patients in hospitals or other healthcare facilities. Students choose from three Sonography specializations: General Sonography (OB/GYN, Abdominal) or Cardiac Sonography (Echocardiography/Heart) or Vascular Sonography.

DMS Professional: This diploma program is designed for students with a B.A. in biology, nursing, radiologic technology, or health science. Students should already have knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.

DMS Professional Plus: This diploma program is designed for students with a two-year allied health degree or diploma in radiologic technology or a B.A. in a non-health related field.

Admissions Program Requirements

High school transcripts, an equivalent or GED
PSSA scores (HS graduates only)
Two letters of recommendation from a current employer or teacher
COMPASS scores

Criminal Background Check

Internship

All Diagnostic Medical Sonography students are required to perform a 960-hour or 24 week internship providing them with on-the-job experience and a safety net of instructors to confide in if challenges occur. Many of our students are offered jobs upon completion of their internship. your education is an investment in your future.
