Building Your Web Page Level IIThis course was designed around the basic knowledge gained from taking the "Building Your Web Page Level I" course. It's intent is to allow those to bring in their own web-based project to begin design and development with the aid and assistance of the instructor. If you do not have a project, the instructor is prepared to offer you a variety of scenarios and resources. Advanced Dreamweaver and Fireworks topics will be included, as well as series of lectures on the following topics: e-commerce, flash, data-driven sites, web-security, and web-hosting. Day 1: Web Project planning and design - Working on the setup and design of your site - E-commerce lecture - what options you have? - What works best for "my" business / organization. Day 2: Project Design & Resources - Finalizing Site Design, preparing resources - What is Macromedia Flash? - Is this something I should consider? - How would it integrate into "my" website? Day 3: Project Development - Students will begin developing their html pages in Dreamweaver - Templates and CSS - What are data-driven sites? - How effective are these? - Could I consider this for "my" site in the future? If so... how? Day 4: Project Development 2 - Working on Project Development - Web-security, what are the concerns? - What can we do? What resources are available? Day 5: Project Wrap-Up - Finalizing your Project - Web Hosting - What is available? - Who provides web-hosting? - What should I be looking for and why? (this includes Domain Name registration) - Q&A wrap up |
