“TAKE 10” is a series of 10-minute videos featuring people whose lives have been changed by South Hills School of Business & Technology. This series will include extended interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and personal stories from students, alumni, faculty, and others.
This “TAKE 10” interview segment, hosted by Paul Mazza IV, features South Hills Engineering Technology (ET) student, Devin Pierce, whose Altoona-based band, Zach Wade & The Good Grief, recently won Penn State’s “Battle of the Bands” competition. The victory landed them a spot in the lineup of the 2017 “Movin’ On” Music Festival.
Zach Wade & The Good Grief was supported in their journey by three of Pierce’s fellow South Hills students. Promotional support was provided by Paul Mazza IV, a 2nd-year student in the Business Administration–Management & Marketing (BAMM) program, and Graphic Arts (GA) students, Jiles Stiles and Jordon Clouser, created posters and other artwork for the group. Check out the video to hear Devin’s story in his own words.
