Local Business Owner Makes “Colorful” Presentation At South Hills

Cynthia Spencer, Color Alliance™-trained owner of a yarn and fabric store in Centre County called Stitch Your Art Out, visited the State College Main Campus of South Hills School of Business & Technology to help students of the Administrative Professional program learn how to choose clothing and makeup palettes based on their skin, hair, and eye colors.

South Hills Lewistown Campus To Offer QuickBooks Certified User Exam Prep Course

South Hills School of Business & Technology has announced it will be offering two 12-hour QuickBooks courses at its Lewistown Campus. The QuickBooks Beginners Course will introduce participants to the QuickBooks accounting software package, and the QuickBooks Certified User Exam Prep Course is for advanced QuickBooks users seeking certification.

South Hills Students Complete Capstone Projects

Second-year students at South Hills School of Business & Technology must complete a capstone project before they begin their internships. The capstone projects require students to use the knowledge gained throughout the entirety of their studies at South Hills. A group of Management & Marketing students from South Hills Lewistown recently presented a business plan for a specialty boutique for their capstone project.

The seventh annual Sonographers’ Symposium was hosted by South Hills School of Business & Technology at the school’s State College Main Campus. More than 100 participants attended the conference to earn continual medical education (CME) credits and network with industry leaders, fellow sonographers, and representatives from national ultrasound equipment manufacturers.

Information Technology students from South Hills School of Business & Technology's Altoona Campus demonstrated technologies such as 3-D printers, drones, workstation computers, gaming computers, and computer programming to about 80 elementary school students from the Juniata Valley School District at a recent career day event.
