The Health Careers Club at South Hills School of Business & Technology has been collecting donations for the Jared Box Project, a local nonprofit organization that donates "Jared Boxes" filled with small toys, games, and activities to young patients who are in the hospital.
Students of the PA Cyber Charter School recently completed South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Discover Drones course, becoming Certified Dronologists and earning a t-shirt. Parents were invited to attend the graduation festivities on the final evening of the class.
In December 2018, faculty and students from South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Altoona Campus organized a Local Hack Day for the Altoona area as part of Major League Hacking's global “Local Hack Day” event, a 12-hour hackathon that involves thousands of participants gathered in cities and towns around the world.
After facing adversity as a teen, United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Karen P. Kramer enrolled at South Hills School of Business & Technology and graduated in 1983 – a decision she credits with helping her to turn her life around, ultimately leading her down a path of long-term success.
