UPMC's Cristy L. Murray, BS, RDCS (AE, PE), alumna of the Diganostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program at South Hills, returned to her alma mater to speak to currently enrolled DMS students about her personal journey on the sonography career path as part of a speaker series to recognize October as Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month.
In recognition of Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month, the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program at South Hills School of Business & Technology’s State College Main Campus is presenting a series of guest speakers. These industry professionals will provide DMS students with an insider's look at sonography careers.
The seventh annual Sonographers’ Symposium was hosted by South Hills School of Business & Technology at the school’s State College Main Campus. More than 100 participants attended the conference to earn continual medical education (CME) credits and network with industry leaders, fellow sonographers, and representatives from national ultrasound equipment manufacturers.
Every year, South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography students choose an organization to support with volunteer efforts and fundraisers. For the 2017-18 school year, they selected Dragonfly Forest, a day camp program at Camp Speers YMCA in Dingmans Ferry, PA.
