Information Technology students from South Hills School of Business & Technology's Altoona Campus demonstrated technologies such as 3-D printers, drones, workstation computers, gaming computers, and computer programming to about 80 elementary school students from the Juniata Valley School District at a recent career day event.
Every year, South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography students choose an organization to support with volunteer efforts and fundraisers. For the 2017-18 school year, they selected Dragonfly Forest, a day camp program at Camp Speers YMCA in Dingmans Ferry, PA.
Business Administration–Management & Marketing students from South Hills Altoona recently presented a Social Media Marketing Plan to the Blair County Planning Commission with recommendations of how Facebook®, LinkedIn®, Instagram®, YouTube®, and a blog can be used in marketing efforts to raise awareness about the organization throughout the community.
South Hills School of Business & Technology recently held the annual Internship Appreciation Luncheon for its Spring interns' internship supervisors. The event is the school's way of saying thank you to the supervisors for providing an invaluable service to its students, who gain real-world experience working within their fields prior to graduation.
