This year marks 18 years of partnership between South Hills School of Business & Technology and the Pennsylvania State University (PSU). This alliance was formed to provide South Hills students with the opportunity to explore internship and possible employment opportunities at PSU.
South Hills recently completed the second offering of its Drone "Pro-Pilot" Flight School – FAA Part 107 Drone Commercial Pilot Test Prep training class. This 18-hour, intensive training program is just one facet of the new Drone Initiative at the school.
South Hills School of Business & Technology was honored with the 2018 Arnold Addison Award at the 2018 Authorities, Boards, Commissions and Committees (ABC) Appreciation Dinner on April 17, 2018. This award is given by the Borough of State College in recognition to a person or group who has impacted the community through Town/Gown relations.
Centre County is offering scholarships of up to $2,500 per academic year to encourage new emergency responder volunteers in Centre County. These scholarships, implemented through the Centre Foundation, can be used at specially designated schools, including for any certificate or degree program offered by South Hills School of Business & Technology.
When a local church needed a more efficient, automated way to communicate with its members about things like schedule changes and event cancellations, Information Technology students at South Hills School of Business & Technology's Altoona Campus helped to find a solution.
