South Hills Community News Release

STATE COLLEGE — A post-secondary education at South Hills School of Business & Technology opens the doors to multiple opportunities. Many South Hills alumni enter the workforce immediately after graduating with their Specialized Associate Degrees, while others choose to continue their education by enrolling in Bachelor’s Degree programs.

South Hills has developed unique partnerships called Articulation Agreements with a number of 4-year colleges and universities. These agreements are designed to help continuing students make a smooth transition between institutions and programs. The agreements outline how credits earned in select South Hills Specialized Associate Degree programs can be transferred and applied toward the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field in order to prevent duplicating coursework.

One of the universities with which South Hills has secured an Articulation Agreement is Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. Dr. Julie Barris, Director of Career Services / Adult Degree & Continuing Studies Associate Dean at Saint Francis, occasionally visits the South Hills Main Campus in State College to share information about Bachelor’s Degree completion options with current South Hills students.
