ALTOONA, PA – First- and second-year Medical Assistant (MA) students at South Hills School of Business & Technology's Altoona Campus recently welcomed a representative of Service Paws of Central PA (SPCP).
Established in 2011, SPCP is a non-profit organization that helps individuals financially to obtain a service animal and/or assists with unexpected veterinary costs for those who already have service animals.
Chairperson of SPCP, Joseph Fagnani, described to the students the many reasons for needing service animals, how to identify working service animals, the training processes, costs, and the general “dos and don’ts” when it comes to service animals.
