South Hills Lewistown Campus To Offer QuickBooks Certified User Exam Prep Course

South Hills Community News Release

LEWISTOWN — South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Lewistown Campus announces the availability of a 12-hour course to prepare experienced users of Intuit’s QuickBooks® accounting software to take the QuickBooks Certified User® (QBCU) exam through Certiport®, Inc. QuickBooks is a leading small business accounting software used for accounting and bookkeeping. The QBCU certification exam provides a credential that validates an individual’s proficiency with QuickBooks software. This credential can confirm to current or prospective employers that the individual has the skills needed to perform on the job.

“We’re really happy to bring this opportunity to the Lewistown area,” said Barb Harer, Director of the Lewistown Campus. “The QBCU certification is seen by employers as a way to demonstrate a person’s abilities and provides marketable skills that appeal to employers. The course is perfect for people who have already had some exposure to QuickBooks and is ideal for those who want to earn a professional certification.”

The QBCU course/exam objectives include:

  • QuickBooks Setup and Maintenance
  • List Management
  • Sales/Money-in
  • Purchases/Money-out
  • Basic Accounting
  • Reports
  • Customization/Saving Time
