South Hills School Of Business & Technology Graduates Earn CentreREADY Designation

STATE COLLEGE, PA – Centre County’s Chamber of Business & Industry (CBICC) President & CEO, Vern Squier, and CBICC Vice President, Economic Development, Jennifer Myers, attended South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Spring Commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 20, 2019 to recognize the first graduating class of students who obtained the CentreREADY Designation.

Established in 2019, CentreREADY is a workforce preparedness initiative, a “seal of approval” designed to show that students have learned about and demonstrated an understanding of the 21st-century workforce skills that local employers find most essential.

Jeff Stachowski, South Hills Community Outreach Director, added, “We are very appreciative of the efforts from Vern, Jennifer, and the CBICC in partnering with South Hills and other local schools on this initiative. It demonstrates to local employers the potential and value our students have as we are preparing them for the workforce.”
