South Hills Sonography Students Raise Money For Dragonfly Forest

South Hills Community News Release

STATE COLLEGE — Each year, South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography students volunteer their time and effort to bring awareness and support to a chosen charity. This year, they chose to raise money for Dragonfly Forest, a day camp program at Camp Speers YMCA, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a year round camp experience for children with medical needs.

The Dragonfly Forest program provides children with serious illnesses like autism, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and persistent asthma with the opportunity to feel just like everyone else.

Our students held multiple fundraisers and successfully raised over $1,500 that will benefit the Dragonfly Forest program and provide these children with a fun, safe, and loving environment all year long.
