UNIVERSITY PARK, PA — Information Technology (IT) students from all three campuses (State College, Altoona, and Lewistown) of South Hills School of Business & Technology attended AccuWeather’s CODE 2019 Tech Conference at the Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, PA.
The students had opportunities to learn about software development and software engineering, as well as best practices, strategies, and ideas to develop technical skills.
The conference included discussions on API’s, DevOps, Data Sciences, Data Management, Web and Mobile Web, AI, Security, and Business Information Systems.
AccuWeather's Human Resources (HR) Team was available to review resumes and provided valuable feedback to help the students prepare to enter the workforce as IT professionals.
South Hills Instructor and IT Program Coordinator, Matt Penning, said, “AccuWeather did a great job organizing the event. CODE 2019 gave our students an opportunity to learn about current trends and technologies in the IT field. They also had a chance to learn from and network with experienced professionals. This conference also brought together South Hills students and faculty members from all three of our campuses and gave them a chance to share ideas and information.”
South Hills offers Associate in Specialized Technology (AST) degrees in Information Technology (IT) at all three campus locations and an AST in Software Development and Programming (SDP) at the main campus in State College.
