South Hills Community News Release

ALTOONA — Information Technology (IT) students from South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Altoona Campus attended a presentation by FBI Special Agent, Michelle Pirtle. Agent Pritle discussed the latest trends in Cyber Attacks as well as the Infragard Partnership for Protection program, a partnership between the FBI and members of the private sector which focuses on national security and the protection of the nation’s critical infrastructure.

The event was organized by the Penn Highlands Chapter of the International Information Systems Security Certifications Consortium (ISC)2, a global non-profit for cybersecurity and IT security professionals, and was held at the Sheetz Headquarters in Claysburg. While visiting the facility, South Hills students had an opportunity to interact with members of the Sheetz Technology Department and took a tour.
