LEWISTOWN — First-year Medical Assistant (MA) students at South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Lewistown Campus have successfully completed their certification examination to become Electrocardiography Technicians through the National Healthcareer Association. This credential demonstrates that the MA students have the ability to perform the critical tasks that are required to administer electrocardiograms (EKG or ECG), a test which measures the electrical activity of the heart through small electrode patches attached to the body.
