LEWISTOWN — Criminal Justice students from South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Lewistown Campus had the opportunity to tour the Mifflin County Correctional Facility to gain insight into what is required to work in that type of environment.

Lieutenant Chambers led the students throughout the facility, showing them the medical department and the inner facility where the students were able to see different types of security measures used. Lt. Chambers also explained the intake process and how disciplinary procedures are handled within. Students had the chance to ask questions on the programming available to inmates, as well as prisoner classification procedures.
