Every year, South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography students choose an organization to support with volunteer efforts and fundraisers. For the 2017-18 school year, they selected Dragonfly Forest, a day camp program at Camp Speers YMCA in Dingmans Ferry, PA.
Business Administration–Management & Marketing students from South Hills Altoona recently presented a Social Media Marketing Plan to the Blair County Planning Commission with recommendations of how Facebook®, LinkedIn®, Instagram®, YouTube®, and a blog can be used in marketing efforts to raise awareness about the organization throughout the community.
Information Technology students from the Altoona Campus of South Hills School of Business & Technology were recently given an opportunity to develop an e-commerce site for Winesickles’ Music, LLC, a Bellwood-based business that provides hymnal music for churches that do not have pianists or organists.
The CBICC held its annual State of Education Luncheon on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The event creates dialogue with all county school districts and career/technical training institutions about workforce readiness. During the luncheon, the new CentreREADY initiative was unveiled.
When a local church needed a more efficient, automated way to communicate with its members about things like schedule changes and event cancellations, Information Technology students at South Hills School of Business & Technology's Altoona Campus helped to find a solution.
