To someone not sure about taking a two year program, I would say that it is definitely worth it. You don’t waste your time learning about things that you might not need in the real world. “The BAMM Program provided a broad range of skills and interests, which was the appeal for me. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do but I knew it was within the realm of management and marketing. The BAMM program allows for diversity in a career path, so it’s a great choice for those that don’t have a specific skill they’re focusing on. South Hills provided a supportive learning environment with dedicated staff and administration. I always felt help was available when needed. Some of the things I found most useful at South Hills were the real work-life scenarios. A small group put together a business plan which encompassed so many skills that I learned.
I did my internship in the Penn State University College of Engineering Internship and Placement Office. Upon graduation my first job was with the Pa Rural-Urban Leadership (RULE) program with the PSU Ag Extension. I have been there ever since and am now Program Coordinator for the RULE program. This position allows me to travel and work with people from all over the state!
