Preview "Shiny Bits" Exhibit from The Bellefonte Art Museum's Seig Gallery
The Bellefonte Art Museum will include an exhibition of the work of Graphic Arts Program Coordinator Jim Colbert in their Seig Gallery during the month of September. The show Shiny Bits by Jim Colbert is a collection of (mostly) graphite drawings focusing on details of classic cars and motorcycles. In these works, we find a Sheeler-like geometry of parallel and intersecting lines, the contrasting textures of alloy and rubber, and the fluid gloss of reflections on polished chrome or lacquer, defining the often sensual shapes of the vehicles.
