A new class of certified “Droneologists” recently graduated from the Discover Drones for Teens Summer Camp at South Hills School of Business & Technology. The Droneologists, ranging in age from grades 7–12, completed a 20-hour program that taught them how to build and fly drones safely and properly.
South Hills School of Business & Technology and Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT) recently jointly hosted an all-day workshop on the use of drones in technical education to help PAECT educators learn beneficial ways to bring the use of drones into their classrooms.
Students of the PA Cyber Charter School recently completed South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Discover Drones course, becoming Certified Dronologists and earning a t-shirt. Parents were invited to attend the graduation festivities on the final evening of the class.

South Hills recently completed the second offering of its Drone "Pro-Pilot" Flight School – FAA Part 107 Drone Commercial Pilot Test Prep training class. This 18-hour, intensive training program is just one facet of the new Drone Initiative at the school.
