Mark Gentzel

Mark Gentzel has been an instructor at South Hills School of Business & Technology since March of 2004. During his time at South Hills, in addition to being an instructor, he has also served as a financial aid assistant, an academic affairs coordinator, and as the general education coordinator.

Mark earned his undergraduate degree in education from Lock Haven University of PA and his graduate degree in education from The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to coming to South Hills, Mark was a fifth-grade teacher in Bellefonte for 12 years and owned a giftware and engraving business for 3 years. In 2015, Mark was named Outstanding Educator of the Year from the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators (PAPSA).

Rick Gority

Rick Gority, instructor for computer skills classes, has been with South Hills School of Business & Technology since 2009.

Rick received a BA from Penn State University in Telecommunications, and along with a close friend, started a Web & Graphic Design company in 2000. He continued to develop his skills with hardware and networking support, leading to his career path in the IT field.

When free time is available, he enjoys boating on Lake Raystown, brewing beer, and vacations in the Outer Banks.

Susan Healy

Susan Healy is the Math Department Coordinator and has been a Math and Accounting Instructor at South Hills since 2013.

Susan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting with Honors from Pennsylvania State University and Masters of Instruction in Mathematics Education from Drexel University. Susan is a Certified Public Accountant. She worked in public accounting for Deloitte and Touche for 6 years and as an accounting manager for Adelphia Communications Corporation for 7 years prior to pursuing her Masters of Instruction in Mathematics Education. Once completing her Math Instruction Education she taught Secondary Mathematics for 10 years in the Port Allegany School District. After moving to State College and prior to joining South Hills, Susan also taught for a semester filling in for a medical leave at State College High School.

Christine Meyer

Christine Meyer is a graduate of Penn State with a BA English and Virginia Tech with an MA in English Literature. She started teaching first-year composition courses at Virginia Tech in 1991. Upon completion of her Master’s degree in 1993, she continued her work at Virginia Tech, teaching African American Literature, English Composition, and Children’s Literature. She later taught English Literature and writing courses at Lock Haven University before beginning a new career at Penn State as an academic adviser in the College of the Liberal Arts in 2000, as a senior adviser in the Division of Undergraduate Studies in 2004, and as the Director of Advising in the Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies Office from 2006-2009. After taking time off to stay home with her son, she returned to her first career and enduring interest— teaching English— and has been instructing students in Business English at South Hills since 2014.

Sarah Stoltz

Sarah Stoltz has been an instructor at South Hills State College campus since 2011. She teaches legal courses in the Criminal Justice and Business Administration programs, as well as English courses in various programs.

Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Mount Aloysius College in 2005. She then earned her Juris Doctor in 2009 from Penn State, The Dickinson School of Law.

Before joining South Hills, Sarah served as a law clerk to the Honorable Pamela A. Ruest at the Centre County Court of Common Pleas. In addition to teaching, Sarah continues to practice law as a part-time Student Legal Services attorney at Penn State.

Amy Nimitz

Altoona Campus


Amy Nimitz is the English and Speech instructor at the Altoona Campus and has worked at South Hills since 2011. Ms. Nimitz has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She also has a diploma as a Medical Secretary from Computer Learning Network.

Ms. Nimitz spent the early part of her career doing various jobs in the broadcasting and administrative fields including living in Southern California for several years. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, she starting working at Computer Learning Network as an Administrative Assistant and an Instructor. She worked there for over ten years. She also worked as a Prevention Educator for Blair County prior to teaching at South Hills. While there, she was the recipient of the Community Advocate Award for her efforts with drug and alcohol education in the community and in the Blair County Schools.

She loves traveling and going to concerts.

Reana Donaldson

Reana Donaldson has been an instructor at South Hills since 2005. She is a graduate of Juniata College with a degree in English and Education and is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with an MBA. She also holds a Master’s of Education in Adult Education and Training.

Reana brings her writing and office experience from her previous work in education and from various professional positions before she joined South Hills. She is involved in several community outreach programs and also serves as the Yearbook Club advisor for the Lewistown campus.
